Vision and mission

Our mission is to:

  • Recognise the endeavours of people making significant contributions to LGBTIQ+ equality around the world;
  • Shine a light on the work still to do for universal LGBTIQ+ acceptance, equality and inclusion;
  • Motivate and inspire tomorrow´s equality heroes.

We believe that by working together, and inspiring more people to make a stand for equality, we will move closer to LGBTIQ+ equality for all.

In almost every field of human endeavour are international prizes for those who represent the best of us, and who change the world for the better. Now there finally is one for hundreds of millions of LGBTI+ people and its heroes.

Mission partners:

We are proud to be working with important global partners who share our mission and values

A stage for heroes

The awards will be announced in June 2023 in Vienna, Austria.

Awardees will be introduced with powerful short films that tell their story and the story of those they have inspired. They will be chosen by an independent and highly experienced committee of international equality and human rights experts.

Awardees need not be LGBTIQ+, but must have personally demonstrated extraordinary vision, bravery, resolve, selfless commitment or determination to positively impact LGBTIQ+ equality.

There will be many ways for people and companies around the world to take part in the project and contribute to accelerating positive change.
