Vision and mission

Our mission is to:

  • Recognise the endeavours of people making significant contributions to LGBTIQ+ equality around the world;
  • Shine a light on the work still to do for universal LGBTIQ+ acceptance, equality and inclusion;
  • Motivate and inspire tomorrow´s equality heroes.

We believe that by working together, and inspiring more people to make a stand for equality, we will move closer to LGBTIQ+ equality for all.

A stage for heroes

The awards will be announced in June 2023 in Vienna, Austria.

Awardees will be introduced with powerful short films that tell their story and the story of those they have inspired. They will be chosen by an independent and highly experienced committee of international equality and human rights experts.

Awardees need not be LGBTIQ+, but must have personally demonstrated extraordinary vision, bravery, resolve, selfless commitment or determination to positively impact LGBTIQ+ equality.
